Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Wilmington, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across North Carolina run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Wilmington follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was flavorful and well worth it. However, one thing that surprised us was the mandatory $12 tip added to our bill. We were a party of five, including our two young kids, so it felt a bit unfair to be charged as if all five were paying adults. Overall, we loved the food, but I wish the tipping policy was a little more flexible for families with small children.

As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted and shown to my seat. Menus and water were brought right away, and our server was attentive and kind throughout the experience. She took our orders, and within minutes, a gentleman brought out our lunch specials. I ordered the lamb vindaloo, which was served with rice, yogurt, a fresh salad, and a mixed vegetable soup—though I’m not sure of its exact name. We were also given garlic naan, which was delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. Compared to my last visit, the restaurant looks like it’s gone through some changes. The space was beautiful and well-lit, with an elegant atmosphere that made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a lovely restaurant A great place for a romantic date and I will definitely be returning in the future.

We went there for a birthday celebration, received a free dessert and they even played happy birthday overhead for us. Made us feel very special. Tandoori Bites never disappoints. The food was excellent. The staff was very attentive to our table. The restaurant recently remodeled on the inside and it's beautiful. Thank you for making our visit special.

The interior of the restaurant looks very classy: Tablecloths, silverware, glassware. Service was excellent and the staff very attentive. If you never had Indian food, you might be a bit overwhelmed by the menu. Don’t hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations. We ordered the trio kabob, lamb palak(mild), lamb curry(medium) and bread basket. The lamb was very tender and the spice level was milder than we anticipated. Kabobs were good but a bit dry to our liking. The naan was fresh and hot. We couldn’t get enough of it. If ever we are in the mood for Indian, this will be our go to. 5 months later we are back. Consist service and quality of food. It just hits the spot every time.

We came here for a date night, and overall, the experience was good. The service was friendly, though we did feel a bit rushed despite the restaurant not being very busy at the time we arrived. My wife ordered the butter chicken with basmati rice. She enjoyed it, but noted that the flavor was a bit different from other butter chicken she’s had before—it tasted more tomato-based than she’s used to. Of course, we’re not from that culture, so we can’t say exactly how it should taste, but it was still flavorful. I had the lamb Rogan, which is lamb tossed in a spicy yogurt sauce with basmati rice. This dish was excellent—the lamb was tender, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. We also shared the lamb samosas, which came with mint chutney. The chutney was decent, but the lamb filling was a bit dry. On the plus side, they brought out complimentary poori, which was a nice touch. The restaurant itself is cute, and the food definitely has flavor. It was an enjoyable night out and worth a try.
